My go to rules are: Avoid endless shows, popular doesn't mean good, no magic.
Here are some of my favorites that i thing are really worth the time:
Nichijou - The comedy of the ordinary lives of a couple highschool kids. Galaxy Express 999 - The seemingly endless adventure of a boy that seeks to turn into a robot and his mysterious companion Maetel. Initial D - Cheesy street racers doing cool racing stuff while cheesy (yet awesome) music is blasted in the background. Neon Genesis Evangelion - Different take on the mecha genre and classic overall. Golden Boy - Comedy about a guy working part time, somehow always surrounded by gorgeous women. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann - Awesome, cool and epic (yuk) for the sake of it. Shirobako - Show about a group of girls trying to realise their dream in the anime industry. Legend of the Galactic Heroes - Politics, warfare, manly men, backstabbing. Hajime no Ippo - Boxing prodigy tries to prove himself in the boxing world. I absolutely don't care about the sport, yet it was still fun to watch.
The way Konami pulled Kojima's name/authorial ownership of the game at the first opportunity
The fact that Konami are no longer making AAA games, so you're effectively supporting the pachislots industry.
Kojima's DISMAL treatment of women, historically. Every MGS game, Snatcher, Policenauts. Ugh. Oh god I just remembered Quiet.
Konami with P.T. - how long do you really think the online servers for MGS5 will last? They have really very little incentive to keep them up once the game sales slow.
I don't know what you say except you sure as fuck don't care about the video game industry. Half the talent behind this game are going to be scrubbing gym showers or looking for work in 3 months.
Paz is in her underwear mainly for fan service. In V there is a poster of her as a anime character, its super cute. Is there anything wrong with that? Within the game is clumsily explained by having to fill the cockpit with water and maybe Paz didn't want her school uniform to be wet and all. The naked mini boses again can be seen both ways as fan service and in a way to portray their vulnerability after they are defeated by Snake and got stripped from their armor that has been suppressing their childhood trauma. Everyone sees things through their own lense, but can we finally accept that boys like what they like?
