Farewell to Giant Bomb (Moving to VG Press)
Seems that signing up for Giant Bomb wasn't the answer regarding finding a new gaming website to call home, so for now I'm packing my things and moving on. The Sega Saturn Retrospective will be moved to my new website, where I'm currently working on the third episode of my DS Jim Podcast. I'll leave the content of this page up until the weekend, but I'll probably be gone before Thanksgiving.

I'm Not Dead. Honest. I Don't Have A Desktop Replacement Yet.
Good morning/afternoon/evening, I hope that the past two months have treated everyone well.
I haven't posted here on Gamespot since August 2nd mainly because I still have no computer that isn't being destroyed by someone else. That will definitely change on October 20th as I've spent the last month checking every site imaginable for laptop sales. I've been trying to save up for a PS3 (I've been a Sony/Nintendo console owner since the fall of Sega's Saturn), but financial issues keep coming up. Too bad, because there are a TON of games that I really want to play now, and I would love to rebuild my old PS-X RPG collection - Grandia, Wild Arms, Suikoden I & II. You get the point.
MGS4 is intriguing but again the cost of entry is still too high at the moment. Bills and mortgage payments come first (and now classes as well).

I'll have to echo everyone else's sentiments as this man is nothing more than a hack with more hot air than he could possibly know what to do with. This man is more annoying than Jack Thompson but not as funny, and while we can all laugh at Thompson's self-imposed crusades I just can't stand this guy. I thought I was the most cynic on the planet (besides the creator of Boondocks) but the garbage that spews from his mouth makes me want to...I'm done.

I've been doing the same thing - in fact I just posted my first dual blog (the iMac Lunch Date post) on Aug. 2nd. Nice to see you here and I DO agree that the site needs a LOT of work but according to the podcast they're planning on a LOT of updates and some new staff for moderation purposes.

Giant Bomb seems like a good sight to check for specific game information (I like to think of it as Wikipedia but for games) and "talking" one-on-one with the gaming community but not much else. I hardly miss the ...
