The real issue is how this problem gets swept under the rug. Theres a reason that a rise of youtube gamers such as totalbiscuit and angry joe have taken off, they don't bs around these problems and speak frankly about them. The old media is more of a boys club, and that's understandable. It's the nature of business and one hand washes the other. If I were working in the industry I wouldn't speak nearly as harshly about these problems either, if you want to have a standing in the industry and access to what you need to do your job and survive. It's not worth rocking the boat, that doesn't mean we aren't sinking or "screwed", it just means that functioning another day can mean tolerating bad practices you may otherwise raise hell over.

Overall I think they have improved in a number of areas. I am just not sure how much I want to play these lootbox based games. Lootboxes aren't just cosmetic, you get better weapons than other players. To me that incentives players out of the gate to spend money for an advantage over players who gain boxes at a slower rate.

@zolroyce: Sounds like the best type of compromise. Thank you for the answer, in my situation I am waiting for the xbox version. I know that the pc version got delayed so who knows if xbox version will hit it's target for fall.

You don't have to form a party to play with a team right? Can you queue into and be joined with a group of other players?

A really great event this year, i'd like to come watch it in person one of these days. The speedrunning community isn't without quirkiness, but they seem like a welcoming group as well.

Fallout 3, When the game came out I was more into multiplayer centric shooters. I wasn't that familiar with the franchise outside of knowing the name. I played it initially long enough to escape the vault and explore megaton, but I came back later once all of the DLC was out about 6 months later and found myself much more entertained. I think in that time away from the game and burning out on MP sessions in other games I was ready for a change of pace. Hunting down all of the achievements and entertaining quests in the game was a highlight for me. The only thing I will still criticize the game on is that typical bethesda jankiness that could result in issues if you don't save often. I encountered some gamebreaking issues from time to time where doors wouldn't open or quests wouldn't trigger appropriately. Maybe I should try to come back around and give Fallout 4 another try, they made design decisions that turned me off to that game but I could always try again and maybe it will hook me in.

I seem to have more vivid dreams when I take Melatonin, I haven't noticed that effect from an anti-depressant but these type of medicines do have a different response for everyone.
