My Favourite JRPGs!

JRPGs... for some reason they don't seem to be able to suck me in as much as they used to, but with FFXIII on its way, maybe another great will be added to this list of my favourite JRPGs!

This list will probably increase in size as I remember or encounter more awesome JRPGs,

List items

  • I don't even know why I got this, It was in my local Blockbuster and I forced my parents to get it for me, it turned out to be my favourite JRPG of all time, and retains this title to this day, only FFX can compete. Maybe this is because of the sheer nostalgia factor, because this was the first JRPG that I can remember playing. TORNADO FLAME!

  • Played this first at my friends house, and I pretty muched played the whole game with him, I eventually got my other friends copy and completed the hell out of it... several times. I just thought everything in this game was a great way of handling the classic FF formula, especially the way that summons worked as in-battle party members and the sphere grid for developing character skills. plus, Auron is badass.

  • This is it, the second greatest FF game, while it has a greater nostalgia factor than FFX, I just feel that FFX is a much better game, although FFVII does have some of the most memorable music in a game, One-WInged Angel and the Boss Theme come to mind, thank god for Dissidia's theatre mode.

  • I really enjoyed Lost Odyyssey, the story and characters were great, and I liked how the skill development systems differed between Immortals and Mortals, which encouraged you to use all of your party members more often so you could give your Immortals better skills, by the games end, I had developed the character to be entirely resistant to magic, sufficed to say, the final boss wasn't too much of a problem. I am reallt hoping for a sequel.

  • Yes, another FF, what can I say, I'm a fan and this one is a little odd, while its a good game as far as FF games go, I never really liked many of the characters, save for ViVi and Steiner. But it was pretty cool and the Black Waltzes are very cool Bosses.
