That weird feeling about the good old days only gets more pronounced as you get older. Just knowing that you're 15 gives me all kinds of weird realizations about things you weren't even alive for. And I'm only 20.
As far as American cartoons go, I was always into Rocko's Modern Life, Ren and Stimpy, Doug, Recess, Arthur, pretty standard stuff. About the time that people started getting into CatDog and Spongebob was when I started really disliking cartoons of that sort.
Courage was kinda genuinely freaky though, had some depth to it you wouldn't necessarily see as a kid, which I appreciate.
" This City is Contagious by The Cab. The Cab always makes my problems go away. "
Haven't listened to them but I do hear good things. Streetlight Manifesto - "Skyscraper" I will get off this ska kick eventually"
If you like Streetlight Manifesto you should check out Keasby Nights by their old band Catch 22. Easily one of my favourite ska albums ever. "
You should also check out Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution if you haven't already. It was kind of a stopping point between Catch 22 and Streetlight Manifesto. They were basically an acoustic ska band. Right now I'm listening to The Joust by Mad Caddies. I'm surprised to see so many people listening to ska here. "
Yeah man, they're still around actually. They're part of the 99 Songs of Revolution covers project that Streetlight is doing.
