Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards marks Kirby's last platforming appearance on a home console, and with the advent of a new title in the series, I figured this was an apt opportunity for a little trip back in time. How does it play? Kirby 64 is a fairly standard action platformer with a fairly standard story, but these ingredients come together in the hands of a talented developer to make an above-average game. If so, this Bit.Trip title may be just what you're looking for! How does it play?Bit.Trip RUNNER seems to be a pretty standard platformer at first glance. You run, you jump over things, you slide under other things, and generally avoid all the ways the environment is trying to jack you up. However, you will quickly realize that there's a key difference here. The game does the running for you! You might assume that this makes the game easy, but you'd be dead wrong.
