They did recover a shard of the first marker, according to Dead Space:Aftermath. That's what drove Nolan Stross insane. Or, he touched a shard in an attempt to recover it, at least. I can't remember where it wound up.
@Stabbers_McGee: Did you even make out or kiss a bit? If not, then she was probably never interested in dating, or not after the first date or two. Odds are she knew it was over a while before you did.

There is actually some good advice in the video, I'm surprised.
In terms of storytelling important and specific to the medium of games, I'd say Bioshock got closest, but the ending might have ruined that. As a whole package, probably Ocarina of Time.
" As far as Video game reviewers go... Yea he is pretty much the best. "
Yeah, that Halo:Reach coverage of his was awesome. Jeff's a cool guy, he's pretty funny, and he's got some insight into the game industry. He's got cool ideas for this website, and he didn't bow down to publisher pressure for K&L. He's not the best reviewer or writer by a long shot (on GB it's probably Brad), but he's definitely created a niche for himself. Let's not go overboard.
He did NDX as a joke, taking it too far because it would be funny. He created Giant Bomb because he needed a job and the main reason it became successful so quickly was because he had publicity from the Eidos controversy and 1UP dissolved soon after (that's where I came from). The DCU and Tron situations were him proving a point or showing up his friend.
