I remember a game being on the NES or SNES don't know what year it was in the 90s, I only had the Japanese version(it may have been japanese exclusive) it was a sidescroller in which you controlled a boy with a sword(it may have been a stick) and I think he had a large head you could use the sword to wall jump, he would also bounce vertically on the sword like a pogo stick and I think the game had a water level and while underwater you couldn't attack (but I may be wrong about this), for me it looked amazing and it was really fun to play. The walljump was kind of fun cause you would jump press the attack button(I think) while facing the wall he would put the tip of the sword against the wall and screech down the wall and when you released the attack button he would jump in a cool animation. I know it wasn't a hard game cause I finished it multiple times.

I played it when i was younger but i can't remember the name....

    (RTS)

    Here's what i remember:

there were two factions: aliens and humans

i remember that the humans had

-like a trooper or something (infantry),

-a two legged robot (like an AT-ST),

    -a tank (i think),

-and i remember a cyborg (which had a cigarette in his mouth...)

and for the aliens there were also some infantry, and i remember a weird creature that had like two huge kinfes growing out of his shoulders or something...

and i also remember that the main base you could only upgrade it so you can train ppl( like the infantry, cyborg...) you couldn't build like the barracks in another place...just upgrade your HQ

I would really appreciate if someone could reply

OK so this one's a bit of a weird one.

I remember playing it on the DS (more specifically a DS Phat so it would've been sometime 2005/06)

Whenever I think of it, I immediately think of Earthbound/Mother which makes no sense because I've never played those games, and neither have they been on the DS

I think, however, the style of the game was quite similar. You were a small boy, travelling around a world, top down. I remember being in a metal ship before leaving to a island-style area afterwards.

I think it was an RPG but I don't really remember an 'in depth' battle system

I remember collecting crystals...or something like that for a professor

Aaaand that's about it. I will be equal amounts impressed and grateful if you guys can get this :)

My friend is trying to remember a game. It was a RTS on windows 95. The demo played mostly on a red planet. The army you controlled was also red-like (Probably). There were mechs and people riding dinosaurs shooting lasers. Otherwise it was mostly a standard rts ->build base -> get resources -> kill everything.

Okay, how about this one: it was a long time ago, but I'm pretty sure it was a PS1 RPG game. You start out as a kid who finds this small pink creature, but in befriending it, pretty much your entire village becomes afraid of the both of you, forcing you to leave. I didn't get that far into it, so I can't remember what happens beyond the beginning...but I do remember that the little creature evolved and changed into a variety of forms depending on how you raised it.

I cant remember the title of a game that came out on pc maby dos, around 1993-97 guessing.

Parts that i remember you play as a boy stuck in a jungle harbour setting because you loose your father. You find a passport so you can use a boat.

later on you become stuck in quicksand then use a vine/rope and lasso around a pig which pulls you to safety.

It is a click and point adventure game. I will be amazed if someone can guess it from that

Okay, so my cousin had this game for the Sega Genesis, and it was a really shitty side scroller. It looked like a cross between Fist of the North Star and some kind of Roman gladiator motif, if I remember correctly. The jumping was very bad and slow, as well as slow movement from left to right. Your enemies had a huge advantage over you, again if I remember this correctly. For the life of me, I can't remember the name of it, but for some reason I really want to play it and see if it was just my feeble child's mind that couldn't play the game right, or if it was indeed as shitty as I remember. Oh, and it was purely punching, as far as I can remember. May have been kicking too, but I honestly couldn't say.

Here is my question / game I can't remember:

It was an arcade game back in the 80's. The game was side scroll with melee and ranged combat featuring a Wizard in a green robe and some other characters I can't remember - but I'm sure there was a warrior type and at least one other, possibly a healer. As my memory recalls it, I remember being amazed by the 2D graphics at the time.

Here is what I remember about the game.

I'm playing as the Wizard in the green robe. He has a wooden cain or staff, I think it's brown and is round / bulbus at the end - and when I attack, a fireball is lauched from it. I don't recall if I had unlimited shots, or if I only had a few and when I ran out I had to fight directly with the staff. Ithink I remember trying to get further in the game by saving my fireball attacks until the enemies got harder, so I think I did have a limited number of shots.

I'm traversing a cave and there are pits to fall in - and I distinctly remember there being green blobs that hang from the ceiling which fall down when I get close. I then have to back away and kill them or something, or maybe timing my strikes - I remember having some kind of strategy for dealing with them as they were annoying. I remember the game being hard and never being able to get far but wanting to. I think there may have been a timer / countdown somewhere on the screen, something with numbers. I also think I recall there being some kind of basic inventory. the game was not a one hit wonder as far as I can remember. I had health, but I think it was pretty much just 3 hits and your dead.

I remember there being other enemies further into the cave, possibly snakes, hydras or something with various tentacles or limbs. Would not be an octopus but perhaps a multi-headed monster or maybe just some spiders, may have been a Medusa type enemy. Not sure.

The crazy thing is that I strangly recall this game having level ups, like an RPG with experience points. Which would explain other things like having an inventory - or the fact that I played as a wizard. But I feel like that's kind of odd for an side scroll game - much less an arcade one. And for the life of me I can't ever remember any other arcade RPGs, can you? I mean I remember the capcom D&D games but those were different than this game. But somehow I think one of thing things I liked about the game was how novel it was. You know, unique. So maybe it WAS an arcade side scroll rpg - which sure as hell sounds novel for the 80's. Why would anyone make an arcade side scroll RPG? I don't know, and I'm not sure I'm even remembering the game correctly.

In fact, I'm not sure if I'm hurting my chances of somebody being able to help me remember this game by suggesting that it might have been an arcade RPG because that seems odd to me that it would be. It might have just been a side scroll game like Shinobi but with a Wizard who shoots fireballs instead of ninja stars.

My memories of this game are so vague, I'm not sure it's possible to figure it out based on the above description. If it helps, I remembered that I forgot this game about 15 years ago when I was trying to remember another game that I used to play at the arcade during the same period. But I ended up remembering the name to that game, it was called Violence Fight and featured a dude in blue jeans who had an attack called a star dust punch that looked awesome. Anyway, this Wizard game was around during the same time if that helps anyone figure it out. I gave up hope trying to remember Violence fight long before I ended up remembering it, and have since given up on remembering this wizard game.

If somebody knows what game I'm talking about, that would be simply awesome.

    Uh here is mine.

I think Its a Sega Genesis / Megadrive game.

It was a top down shooter, or at least an angled viewpoint from above. I remember there being a bunch of different characters who had different kinds of projectiles they could fire. I think the levels were relatively enclosed and there may have been some blocks that were destructable. It may have also had a puzzle element.

Edit - It isn't chaos engine / alien breed.

Trying to remember an FPS set I think in the early to middle 1900's. You play as someone who has been sent (I think) to an island to investigate some strange things going on.
the thing I remember most about the game was that you would occasionally trigger movies that played out against the background of the game, which were supposed to be ghosts.

The main setting was in and around a mansion.

Some of the enemies were red eyed dogs, and for some reason ghost maids.

Hey I'm thinking of a game:

It's

3D polygonal, it's a side-scrolling shooter, and the camera perspective

pans around a lot. There's often points where you have to fend off

anime-missiles from behind or infront by painting targets on them.
It's not a bullet-hell shooter. It tries to do a lot of unique things with the genre, that's why I'm looking it up.

It's got an awkward name that's not a regular english word.

Defining "anime-missiles": blue sky, white lines of smoke that curve around a lot.
It'd

cut away from the shoot-em-up for a sec to show this Ace-Combat-like

target-painting section where you shot down missiles. It was all very

    fast.
