I've just realised that gaming has taught me alot about survival, and I'd like to share this knowledge with you. For example, every gamer knows that if you ever get lost whilst driving, in a small town in the middle of nowhere (or underwater), in rediculously thick fog, the first thing you do, after leaving the car door open just incase their is a child that needs to go missing, is find a wrench/lead pipe. But what many don't realise is that to ensure safety, it is then crucial to head towards the closest ominous abandoned/haunted/cursed village or building, whilst drawing attention to yourself by screaming at the top of your voice.
After a short period of aimless wandering and unprovoked brutal attacks, with said pipe/wrench, on whatever comes across your path, it is important to note that if you ever find a strange looking liquid/piece of food, then the only thing to do is to drink/eat/inject oneself with said liquid/food, in order to gain a selection of odd abilities/powers. If you at any point, hear a noise/see a shadow that leads you to suspect something/someone maybe heading in your direction, it is essential to freeze on the spot and not, as many may have you believe, to start running; so as to make it as easy as possible for whatever it is, to see you and as a result start chasing you. If you follow these guidelines you will have no problem staying alive.

It may have sold a bunch more but in my opinion, Guitar Hero: World Tour did not compare to Rock Band 2. The whole feel of the game was just cheap and old, yes they introduced drums and singing, but Rock Band did both better, and there so called music creator was actually laughable, not only was it ridiculously complicated, but didn't actually produce anything good. However, it looks like the guys at Activision have finally got off their arses and are ready to take the fight to Harmonix once more with Gutar Hero: Metallica. This game will have a few new features that actually seem quite interesting, a "Drum Over" system allows players to freestyle over any of the games songs, in place of the actual drum track, plus a new difficulty setting "Expert+" will introduce double kick pedals for super quick bass hits. I'm not saying their can only be one music game, but so far one is better, and until now i didn't see that changing.

You can't deny,Ready 2 Rumble: Round 3...sorry I meanFacebreaker, was absolutely abysmal, so it's no surprise that EA is planning another addition to the Fight Night series. Each iteration has shown genuine improvement, and the unique and innovative analog control scheme has succeeded in bringing boxing games to the masses. Round 3 was literally a knockout, it was one of the best looking games on the market at the time, and frankly still holds it's own to a lot of titles being released even now, almost 3 years later.

For me it was the first truly next-gen gaming experience, with out standing visuals, and animation that came surprisingly close to the real thing. You could see the sweat dripping down heaving muscles, the blood trickling over battered and bruised faces, the flesh on faces stretched to its limit as concrete fists land one skull crushing punch after the other.

Graphically the game easily warranted a double take, just to check you weren't actually watching ESPN. Aside from providing one of the most homo-erotic gameplay experiences I've ever come across, this was a true benchmark in terms what can be done with the not so little boxes under our TV's, and I can only hope that EA come out swinging in Round 4, and we aren't forced to throw in the towel.

Ok it's official, I am definitely excited aboutKillzone 2, wellKillzone 2multiplayer to be exact. At first I wasn't too convinced, but after watching a ton of gameplay videos, I've decided the game actually looks stunning. Some may disagree and say it's over-hyped, over-rated, bla bla bla, but there really is so much going on all around you on screen; from your comrades falling by the wayside, to a hail of gunshots and lighting effects painting the walls with shadows as well as your blood, to barrels exploding in a tempest of fire and smoke,it all looks quite beautiful in my opinion.

It's kinda like Samus, under that ugly, mechanical, brutish exterior, lies a beautiful flower. But you know... with guys.

You know what I mean. I hope.

This is a review of 1up's Justin Haywald's Own Review Of Shaun White Snowboarding.

Someone actually paid you to write this? Sorry but this felt more like a forum rant than an official review. It's way too subjective, I know any review will be to a degree but this is ridiculous. I haven't played the game and am considering buying it, in what way is this supposed to give me a good idea of whether or not it's worth my money? Is that not the purpose of a review? And not, as you seem to believe, to vent about the things u dislike in a game? What are the graphics like? how does the career progress? how does the online actually work? what is the character customization like? Is there much replay value? What is the quality of the sound in the game? What does it do well overall? Its like half a page of writing, and tells me absolutely **** all about the game, just that he was quite **** at it.

I struggle to understand how his editor let this go up, I don't blame him for a **** review, I blame the editor for letting human eyes see it. Go read a Nick Suttner review, you might learn something.

Has the world literally gone mad, well...the gaming world at least. I mean all I here now is how the Rock Band guitar peripheral is "Garbage!!!" and the Guitar Hero guitar is "a perfectly engineered, work of design genius." Now fair enough the majority of the people saying this are ignorant, petty fanboys defending there precious GH like children arguing over who's dad could kick the shit out of the other. But when I here knowledgeable, respected, intelligent minds uttering such travesties, I cant help but question whether or not they've ever even held the RB guitar in their incorrect little hands. The RB guitar is superior in every way, it looks more like a real guitar, it's got more wight to it, it does not feel like it's about to snap with each strum you make, the fret buttons are larger and feel more natural to press, this also makes play easier, solos are second nature on the secondary frets lower down, I mean Dude!!! Come on!!! But alas, do not let the aggressive nature of this post mislead you, I do not believe speaking louder makes you more right, I am in fact, a man of moderate temperament (a statement no doubt many will challenge). As a result of this calm predisposition I am able to look at such statements through clear, unbiased eyes and consider the possibilities. From what I can gather these opinions can only have been formed after years of being forced to use inferior peripherals designed for the Guitar Hero series. Now one possibility is that this has caused most people to become accustomed to the feel and function of these guitars, and so when they do finally use the Rock Band guitar it feels alien in comparison, thus leading them to believe the GH guitars are superior because they are used to them. However, I feel it is much more likely that everyone secretly knows the RB guitar hero is better, it's only that this is a bitter realization for them and their resentment causes them to displace the anger and disappointment they feel toward Harmonix, as opposed to Activision, the ones who have truly let them down. Ok. Rant Over. - xAbleAssassinx

Like I said few days ago the Skate 2 Demo has arrived. I might manage to knock out a demo review this week but I know i'll be getting this game so I may wait and give you a full review.Due to the quality of videos on the web you won't really be able to notice the graphical upgrades, but you will be able to see the improvements to what were already impressive character animations. Plus the physics and frame rate, which were a bit sketchy at times in the last game, have seen great amendment; the game now runs at 60 frames per second (a vast difference from the previous 30 fps), and new physics mean the characters actually bend and crumple like real humans, when flying through the air after a major bail, the guys limbs actually flail about desperately, you can see the panic as he realizes how close the ground is. Very fun to watch. Mwahaha.

There is a graphics comparison between the PS3 and 360 versions of the game at gametrailers.com.

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/44295.html?r=1&type=wmv

I honestly don't see much difference except that the trees and bushes seem a little more detailed on the PS3, they look blander on 360. I know that in the last game the 360 had a better frame rate but PS3 version had clothes that blew in the wind. From playing the skate 2 demo i noticed that you can get cuts and stuff on your arm, and dirty up your clothes in th eps3 version, don't know if the same goes for PS3 In this video I can make out that the guys long hair moves about slightly on the PS3, I could not see it in the 360 version.
