I finally was able to score a LBP beta key this morning, much to my suprise. After the Gamespot fiasco I was ready to give up.

I'm really excited for the releases coming up in October. So much good stuff coming out in such a small amount of time...looks like I'm gonna have to pick and choose a little bit.
Between the Summer semester break and now I went back to playing Oblivion on my PS3. I had started out and thought it was okay, but kind of dropped it when newer games started coming out. Since I had a little spare time during the break, I decided to pick up where I left off. I've got to say the game is way better than I gave it credit for. It starts out kind of slow and but eventually gets seriously awesome. There is just so much stuff in this game, all of it surprisingly deep. Just finishing the guild missions is a game in itself, and even though its nothing but a big closet, I love the fact that you can buy a house. sweet deal. If this is a taste of what Fallout 3 is going to be like then I am extremely excited. Oblivion set in a post - apocalyptic future? Yes please.
Why the hell does it take so long for the Giantbomb pages to load!?
now I'm gonna hit the post blog button and wait 5 hours for it to work.
Home has been Hyped to hell and I don't know if we are ever even going to get to see the thing. Kaz Hirai's recent comments are not very comforting. The release date doesn't matter? Do they like pissing people off? After being delayed twice, its kind of annoying to hear a statement like this. But then again, I am just really anxious to jump into Home and see what its all about. Of course Sony is just trying to wait until they can make it as good of an experience as possible... but at some point you need to let people experience it.
I'm gonna still hope for a more open Beta this year, but I really hope Home doesn't turn into Sony's very own Duke Nukem:Forever.
I've been to a lot of game sites, and stuck around a few for a while. From Gamespot to IGN, then to Gamesradar and N4G. But now I think I'm gonna start comin on over to Giant Bomb more often. The new site has a kick ass team behind it, and I can tell the guys put a lot of thought into everthing they've implemented here. I like the style and the awesome focus on games rather than platform.
I do believe I'll camp out here for a while.
