Nice list, I liked reading the views of a PC gamer (all those MGS4 and GOW2 blogs got boring).
I didn't get L4D, I might, though. TF2 was not my game of the year 2007, I hadn't started playing it, but it is definitely my game of the year 2008. I've had countless hours of fun. In fact, it's the only game I spent more than a couple of hours in (hundreds of hours total), as I spent maybe 2 hours each on HL2 Episodes, COD4 single player, and Stalker.
Right now, all my steam buddies from the TF2 community I first joined are playing both L4D and TF2, but a little more TF2.
I really am skeptical of L4D because it just doesn't have the same epic battles, lighthearted nature, and teamwork that Team Fortress 2 has. I have played the demo...I'm also skeptical about its longevity, if we will see long lasting communities forming around it. But I'm biased cause I love TF2 so much. I'll probably play TF2 well into 2009, until all the updates come out, and maybe even further. It depends if any new big multiplayer games come out - COD6, Quake Live...maybe even Starcraft 2 will hook me.
