After hearing everything the GB crew said, I started on ez from the get go. I almost gave up myself after a few times after the game screwed me. With its lack of info on how the save system works. What ever you do don't just close the game unless you don't want to keep the save you had.

In my first game I got to sector 5 then died. Got the Engi Ship and started playing with that. I got unlucky for 3 or 4 games and keep dying before sector 5. Then I got extremely lucky and found the Crystal ship and It (after about 8 more games) helped me beat the last ship. The ship you get for beating the game is awesome for taking out the last ship.

Right now I am having fun trying to get all the ships.

Verdict? I love the game.

Yeah, saw half of the QL (only half since the damn videos load like crap when not on Youtube) and decided I needed it. I am on my second dude right now, managed six days the first time, on day 17 now. Got a small base going, now I just need to find a reliable way of getting gold. It's really fun, looking forward to see what more they do with it.

same thing happened to me, but on the 17th day i found a spider nest and made a camp relatively close hoping that i could just let them come to me and kill them by my fire. Then I got mass attacked by like 30 of them and could only fight off 10 before they got me.

This and this. Also, eighty bucks isn't a lot of money to probably get something that I've wanted for a long time.

You do know Black Isle only published those games, right.

You do know that the founders of Obsidian and a good chunk of the staff came from Black Isie studios, right.

For me it was all about the fact that is was an isometric RPG. Made by (some of ) the same people that had a hand in making some of the best ever. I got in as soon as I could. (which was a week after the kickstarter started because I had to wait for my pay check.)

I added the xpac.

I still can't believe that people are willing to invest 3.5 million in a freaking isometric RPG. Not that I didn't love the Black Isle games back in the day, but come on. How many times can you return to the well?

I don't know how many times can you make a game about football, or one named Call of Duty? Those games make a lot more then 3.5 million dollars.

Hey guys, there is only 24 hours left in Project Eternity's Kickstarter. If you don't know what it is, it's a CRPG made by the same people that made (arguably) the best CRPG every. (Planescape: Torment)

It blew past its initial goal and is now on the cusp of its finale stretch goal of 3.5 million. Which is a really good reward if it is achieved. They will add a second big city to the game. For those wanting to know whats a big city? Just think of how big the city of Baldur's Gate was. If you don't know what Baldur's Gate is then a more resent game city that it could be compared to is Denerim (from Dragon Age: Origins) Needless to say, the addition of another big city would add a great deal to the game.

This will most likely be a 50+ US dollar game and you can get in for half that right now. For 25 bucks it gets you a digital copy of the game. But there are some really great stuff you can get if your willing to spend a little more. The one that really stands out to me is the 165 tier. You get 2 digital copies of the game, the expansion, and a copy of Wasteland 2, plus all the other little extras. ( like soundtrack, beta key...) Or you can get in on the bottom floor and pick out some of the add-ons that you like for a little bit more. (like the expansion for 20 bucks)

The team really seems like they want to make this game with the players and not make it behind closed doors. So there will be tons of updates and what not on their main site They have almost a dozen update vids already. They are also going to live stream the last hour or so of the kickstarter just to celebrate with the fans.

As a way to keep this topic near the top of new topics, I will leave with a question.

Whats your favorite Character in any CRPG you've played.

Mine would be Minsc, His lines would always put a smile on my face. Runner up would be Morte.
