To be fair I have been watching less and less of GB in the last year, but this will do it for me. I cancelled my subscription, Jeff was the main draw for me. I also haven't been drawn to most of the new premium shows.

It's a great question: is a game worth it if you're paying $15 for it in a subscription? I mean, unless it's broken or extremely bad, then the answer is always a "yea, download it and try it".
Yea, this series isn't for me. There's no GB members to ground things, I have no idea who these people are, I find the "comedians" are trying too hard to be funny and because I'm not familiar with the album I have no context for what they are discussing.
I've been enjoying all the other new shows though!
Cool, but, what? Is this not video game related at all? This seems like a weird way to announce that GB is getting into music content. Yea, music and games (and GB personalities) and linked but this seems like a stretch. Is cooking next? Cars? Movies? Is GB a variety site now??
@canedthread: Perhaps, but I see plenty of other women in games media that don't get the same level of criticism and ask myself why? Is it because Abby's a women or because she's just not that good at her job and isn't a good fit for GB? And I'd argue that the other staff members (Dan comes to mind as the biggest example, Alex second) get a fair amount of shit too and that isn't seen as a gender issues.
I don't spend enough time in this community anymore to really know either way, just curious as to what's going on.
@av_gamer: it’s kind of a vicious circle though. Some people have an agenda and some people have genuine criticisms. This loud minority is typically enough to drown out any sensible thoughts. Any time criticism surfaces on this website it is usually hand waved away by either saying its disgruntled trolls or people with an agenda out to get someone. It doesn’t help that this site has historically had problems with the fan base accepting new joiners. At the same time how can you grow and change when each time someone says something less than glowing it’s instantly grouped in with the problem crowd? I don’t even know how you can move past this anymore.
This is 100% the problem with this community. Any intelligent criticism directed towards Abby for this will be drowned out by people calling you sexist and having an agenda. If a single staff member seems to get the brunt of the criticism it may just be because they deserve it, not because of their gender.
Leaving this video up with a little editors note saying "lol oops, my mistake, e-mail me if you wanna talk" is a very poor response to this, there's no accountability or action. I'm sure Abby will get a free pass on this then just take a week off social media and ignore it.
It's really hurtful because if this situation was just a little bit different people would be out for blood.
