Dimensions recaptures enough of Geometry Wars' thrills to stand as the best new dual-joystick shooter in quite a while.
The little mushroom man finally gets his name on the marquee, and the result is a charming, unique, and puzzle-heavy adventure.
Nintendo's all-stars assemble once again, resulting in one of the best reasons to own a Wii U (and eight GameCube controllers).
Still somehow could not be less interested in this game. Fly places, explore. No one has been there.
I like David Jaffe a great deal.
I do not think this game is for me.
Short quick look = bad game. That's Giantbomb math right there.
I only got into Destiny a couple of weeks ago and although I am enjoying it, I can see why people don't like it. I am now thinking there must be something about my psyche that likes repetition because all I ever do is the random strike thing. There is something satisfying about jumping in for half an hour and achieving something, even if it's just taking out the same boss.
But I won't be buying the expansion, it looks awfully thin.
I... I... enjoyed Dragon Age 2. The more personal story was something I wish more videogames would do and I'm not someone that enjoys getting super-deep in combat system. It was a flawed gem for me.
This is my sentiment too. Everyone complains that all RPGs are about saving the world, and then one comes along that's a deeply personal narrative of recovery and loss for Hawke, set against a well-explored political and idealogical rift and everyone turns against it. It wasn't without it's faults, but I'll say this - Inquisition also has respawning enemies, and I've yet to see one person call the game out for it.
This makes me want to buy Destiny...even though I know I'll hate it...must resist...
Grr. With so much positivity around the game I may have to buy it. Will THIS be the game which ends my Warframe addiction? Probably not. Defense Grid 2 didn't do it, and if that won't, nothing will.
Except you, Inquisition. You will be the one.
So sad that this should all happen so close to the anniversary of Ryan's passing, but as others have said, you have an direct eloquence that few can match, Mr. Gerstmann.
I accidentally watched the end of this on Live from Playstation the other night and even though I only caught the last five minutes of the stream, the guy playing it was crying pretty hard. Even I was affected by it and I had missed the vast majority of the game.
Looks absolutely identical to the previous games, WfC and FoC, even down to the weapon designs. I'm a huge Transformers nut, but I'll probably skip this one.
