I got my dad a 3 hour Nascar experience which included 8 minutes of him driving one solo. I am not a Nascar fan, but man he had the time of his life. I took video and my wife edited the video with "The Final Countdown" on in the background. He STILL brags about it to his buddies and it was 3 years ago. if you can afford it maybe get them something they can do, old people already have shit they don't use.
So what happens if someone hits the thing with rocks and steals the package? This seems like a terrible idea.
I fail to see how this is any different than a person delivering a package.
Having a human being (who is audited) being culpable for those packages vs a machine that can easily be destroyed by a rock, a mechanical error or weather on route to your house is a totally different thing.
I'm weirdly against the idea of eating one item and then moving to the next. This is all on one plate because it's meant to be enjoyed together. Goes for most meals. Generally speaking, there will be a few fries leftover after I've finished the burger.
Just saw this on 60 minutes, though Jeff B. said it would be awhile. I guess people stealing stuff wont be a problem for Amazon. It can only hold 5 pounds, and it has a 10 mile radius around distribution centers. Most of the things it is transporting are probably going to be cheap like paperbacks, shampoo and razors, and the actual drone has GPS on it, so you probably wouldn't want to try to steal one.
