Duplicate Threads

When people on forums complain that a thread already exists to talk about something.  Any subject worth discussing usually jumps to multiple pages very fast.  There is a good chance that anything not on the first or last pages won't get read.  In some cases, like where moderators are trying to get information out of posts, I think it makes some sense.  But normally I think starting new posts is just fine.
