And yeah...it kinda sucks. Charlie was his name and he was only around a couple of months old. Had some nasty bowl problems that had him shitting everywere, and what made it the most shocking was how before hand I was shrugging it all off saying it was probably down to something he eat. Turns out he had a really strong infection and otherwise had to put down because of him being too young and small to have any chance of fighting it off. 
 
First hearing it I was genuinely saddened. I even let out a couple of tears when I headed into the bathroom where he was being kept during his illness. I'm more surprised more than anything at how much of an impact it had one, though. Cat's in general annoy the motherfuck out of me, for the most part, yet still just hearing about something that lived along side me in my flat was dead, it really put a dark lens over everything. 
 
In any case, look's I'm currently hiring for a new Xbox 360 guardian. =/

I'm sorry to hear that. Don't be ashamed of having a deep emotional reaction. I'm glad the little guy got the care you gave it, when so many other situations would have been a lot less caring.
 
Lost a feral cat that I'd slowly tamed over a period of weeks to trust me.  One day its shelter outside shifted and it couldn't get inside anymore, so it took the next warmest place it could find, which happened to be inside of a car engine.  My dad unknowingly killed it by starting up the car. I buried it out back, putting a little cross over it, and my landlord promptly plowed over its grave for some purpose I still don't understand.  Maybe that cat was the reason I don't want pets.

That sucks man. One of my old dogs had to be put down because of stomach cancer. Pet death is never a good time.

Having pets can be great, but suck big time when they pass away. I've seen young ones, old ones and middle aged have that need to just go away. Sorry for your loss.

It's hard when something you may not even know you love as much as you do has to go. I have dog which is with my mom right now in my hometown which I owned since I was 8 (I'm now 19) and I know sometime maybe soon she will pass away and I don't think I will be fully ready for that no matter how much I try to be.
