No-ryu-ken: Fighters with Style

I love character design, particularly in fighting games. However, my favorites have rarely been the well-balanced, top tier Ryu/Ken types. Back in Super Street Fighter II Turbo, I usually picked Dhalsim. Didn't win much, but that wasn't the point (though in retrospect, I'm not sure what the point actually was...)

I've come to appreciate the iconic look of Ryu and Ken over the years. But when I manage to pulverize some punk-ass Ken with my Hakan, my cup runneth over. Thus behold my favorite fighters. Their quirks may have cost me a match or two, but their superior style keeps my coming back.

  Thanks to Super Street Fighter IV, I actually played a winning Dhalsim for a stretch (no pun intended). But I kept returning to Hakan. What can I say? Apparently I get some sick joy from struggle.

  When I can pull off her tricks, it's a hell of a sight. But having to keep track of the staff positioning and swapping move properties all the time splits my brain too much.
