But seriously, their game seems solid already from the shipbuilding demo already released, here's hoping they can hit $60k to fund their dreams. As a bonus the guys behind it are super nice and involved in the community.
The shipbuilding is probably most comparable to something like Galactic Civilizations 2, except you can then get in and directly fly the damn things. It's fantastic. The aesthetics remind me a little of one of my all time favorites, Homeworld, but the gameplay is more akin to a Freelancer or the like - openworld space combat, trading, and more. This is EXACTLY what I want from a space game and I'm pretty impressed with what's been achieved using the Unity engine.
