I would wait for 4k, as the HDMI 2.0 standard was finally finalized to support 60Hz (and ends up being a firmware upgrade for the Sony / Samsung pre-existing ones).

At the moment 4k is irrelevant in terms of content, but if you are keeping TVs for more than 5 or 6 years the situation will probably be completely different. And the price drops have been coming in very quickly, with reasonable brands already in 3k territory.

Valkyria Chronicles. Maybe Fallout Tactics if you like your games more than a decade old.

Warlock: Master of the Arcane looks a bit 4Xish but is combat oriented.

Orcs Must Die!

Really cool game, but never seemed to get a lot of respect like Dungeon Defenders landed.

@pyrodactyl:

I'm not sure that is completely fair - the Wii saw a large number of new titles in addition to the traditional franchises relating to motion control. Zelda's new control scheme in the last outting was enough to ruin the game for me even.

For Wii U they have just released a couple titles. Considering how they seem to be caught with their pants down on developing for a non-standard def system it may just be a matter of time before more unique games hit. Nintendo land at least showed potential - even if none of it really displayed a attractive single player bent.

Since Nintendo does not seem to care about much about their finances or extra things they could do to sell more units, I'm not sure its worth worrying about them.

Competitive releases cannot really be helped at launch, so it might be something that happens just this year. It is a little competition, but considering how few other options their are I would imagine Ubi will still come out ahead.

@seppli: Titan has a 6Gbps memory interface that is 384-bits wide. PS4 is a 5.5Gbps interface that is 256-bits wide. So Titan would be at 163% of a PS4's bandwidth.

But I do not think there is a rigorous definition for "Ultra Textures" ; in most situations it refers to modded/developer high-resolution ones for PC versions. You would expect at least nice textures at 1080p if you compare it to similar PC GPU - especially when being a console theoretically gives some advantage there. Its probably a bit early to read to far into any of these releases.

No idea on the voxels thing.

I don't think mental type issues are unique in terms of being poorly represented in media, although its also not convincing to me that the most pressing part of entertainment media is to accurately inform in this kind of topic.

The more upsetting part, to me, is how poorly the US helps people with serious issues - in my city the people with serious problems pretty much all end up living under a bridge and riled up at a very crazy nearby Church ("the city if full of evil vermin that must be purged...." style place).

1. Tomb Raider

2. Super Mario World Wii U Virtual Console

3. Borderlands 2

I'm not confident about 2/3 in terms of order though. Nothing else I've played has been really amazing though - a lot of starting line abandons.
