@Fajita_Jim: I'm already paying $35 a month for a 3mb connection. I really can't afford or have need for a U-verse package just to increase my data cap that I shouldn't have to begin with. Between the 360 and 4 computers in the house it's not hard to go over the limit.
Thanks for sharing this. AT&T limits users to 150GB per month (that includes both upload and downloads) for their home DSL service. It's easily obtainable if you stream movies a lot and like to buy games from steam. After you hit your limit they automatically charge you $10 for an additional 50gb. This month I surpassed my additional 50gb and will be charged ANOTHER $10. They are not very good at informing you of this either. they have a site you can go to to check this information out but it's not really that helpful. It is also really hard to monitor your own bandwidth. I have no idea how much bandwidth it takes for me to watch a quicklook. Not to mention if you go to a sight with video ads, how much bandwidth does that use? Sorry for ranting but this has really frustrated me to no end and it needs to stop.
