You are history's greatest monster, Shame and Black Swan are fantastic movies. They're not even really comparable though, Black Swan was more psychological thriller whereas Shame was more of a character study. Do you also dislike movies that have ambiguous endings?

John Dies at the End was really, really bad. I might be a bit biased because I read the book, but had I not I would've been completely lost watching the movie. Hell, even with reading the book I was still confused. They leave out all the best bits from the book and just jump around without explaining anything. Which is really bad because even for comedy-horror the book had some really creepy parts and all of that gets left out of the movie.

Yeah... I was really disappointed considering I was very much looking forward to it. I will say one good thing though, the casting was pretty dead-on aside from a couple characters.

Well, I see that this thread hasn't improved since last night, but instead has actually gotten worse. Also, lol at the straight people telling me that I shouldn't be offended because they use the word all the time, and the couple people that said homophobia doesn't really exist anymore except in the older generation.

It's good to know that I can go back to ignoring the forums like I have for the past three years.

Like two months ago near where I live two gay men were beaten with baseball bats while being called that multiple times. The obliviousness required to make a comment like that (it doesn't mean the same thing it used to) astounds me.

Hell, it happened to me a few years ago. Not so rural, but still the midwest. No bats though, and I escaped with very minor injuries due to someone coming and scaring them off. Doesn't change the fact that I thought I was going to die while having that fucking word shouted at me.

Ryan made a mistake, he recognized it and immediately apologized. Respect the hell out of him for it. Some of the sentiments I'm seeing in here are far more upsetting than what he said, but at least it's made me remember why I tend to stay away from the forums.
