Seems gamers are misdirecting their anger here as it seems the hackers are more to blame than Sony is. It just seems as if there's nothing Sony can do to win short of letting gamers have full access into some sort of Sony money bin.
Bought it earlier today and finished up solo in about 3 hours as well. For 800 points, I personally was disappointed in it. I was expecting it to be much more fleshed out. I think with Case Zero it was different as that was a brand new Dead Rising experience. Case West, gameplay wise I wish they had done something new. As it stands, it is exactly the same with really only a few new combo weapons, though to their credit they are pretty awesome. The return of the camera mechanic isn't anywhere near the same was it was in Dead Rising 1, so that was another missed opportunity. Also was it just me, or did the security personnel enemies really disrupt the flow of the game?
If you're coming to it for the story, like I was, you may want to wait and see if it drops in price as it didn't expand the story that much. If you're the kind who could care less about the story and just wants to go around killing zombies with a friend, it might be worth it.
Picked up Banjo Tooie and Castle Crashers (yup held out that long). Kinda wondering if I should get Banjo Kazooie and finish that one first. Is any of the Stop N' Swop stuff worth it?
Funny I was just thinking about this the other day. Ask me 7 years ago if I would ever get tired of anime and I would probably spout some kind of broken Japanese at you saying no, but now at 27 the interest just waned off.
I don't think I'll outgrow my interest for games anytime soon, but I probably will have less and less time to play them as time goes on. I do hope one day if I have kids to pass the torch down so to speak, so even when I'm in my 40's I can still hold my own in Call of Duty Vs Halo in 4D on my smell-o-vision.
The press conference definitely changed my interest from meh to keep a close eye on this. Like many others, the price point will ultimately determine a purchase or not.
