@njn: You're watching the Toonami edit, where they maintain names of attacks and certain mistranslation for the sake of continuity with the original run of Z for TV.
The uncut Blu-ray's of Kai have correct translations for attack names and also they correctly yell, it's over 8000.
Do you mean that bizarre Toonzai version? Nothing in the modern Adult Swim/Toonami version is edited or cut. When they aired that episode it was definitely the 8000 version.
Is this the first time the guys have accidentally beat a game in a Quick Look?
Its happened with a few others, like Bad Dudes and After Burner Climax. Jeff has also beaten a bunch of old games on his streams, but that's a bit different.
Another reason why Greg is rad. This is the first anyone has put Zero Time Dilemma on the list, even if its a "I wish I finished this" one. You should finish it! That game is awesome!
Real bummer that this is how the game ends up, it seemed pretty promising and clearly got shafted. Its going to be real interesting to see who gets blamed for what in a few months. Comcept seems to have nothing but drama and disappointment with each of its games.
The one and only thing I like about Sword Art Online is the joke my friends have about anime Jeff going through PSO2 like levels of language barriers to try it out, only to be completely baffled by the fact that all of these anime characters suddenly look like real Japanese people, and he doesn't understand enough of the language to figure out he's stuck in a shitty VR game. Its like Lost in Translation, only more .hack.
Also congrats @drewbert for seeking out your pilot's license, good luck man!
I'm sorry, but the number of sophisticated gamers with discerning tastes that may, in the future, entertain the idea of gracing this game with their presence, yet are compelled to vocalize their apparent disinterest in the comments of the review, is hilarious to me.
Seems like another one of those for better and for worse. Nothing mentioned in the review really made it stand out so I've no issue waiting until it hits bargain bin.
