I lost one. When it asked me to choose a tech specialist, I stupidly assumed that it would only give me a list of tech "specialists" to choose from. I chose Thane because I knew he was ready for death anyway.
I was also very harsh on the Bombcast thing, because their excuses for not being able to give up the hours seemed like a weak argument, and I still think so. I justified it to myself by comparing it to a game. I get way more entertainment from Giant Bomb every year than I do on almost all games that I play. Plus the shirt was a nice touch.
I'm gonna bump this for you, as this is a serious issue. I'm sure this kind of post is Dave's worst nightmare right now. Best of luck getting it worked out.
This is why I came here as well. Not as big of a deal as the other issues in this forum, but I would like my new accounts on Tested and Anime Vice to be "Zithe" rather than "zithe".
I can't honestly vote either way in this poll. I definitely don't think achievements have improved anything about gaming for me, but I also don't think they are ruining anything by being there. 90% of the time, I don't even look at the achievement screen because I know it's going to affect the way I play the game. Keep in mind, I am saying this from a rental perspective. If I was buying all my games, I would probably think differently.
Of the games you listed, I would go with Heavy Rain. I know I'm in the minority, but I really do not like the shooting in Uncharted 2. The characters and dialogue are well done, and the environments are cool, but I felt like the shooting was lacking.
I think you have too many factors summed up here. Of course the majority of voters are going to be somewhere in between. I would find it more interesting to see votes on the specific issues in your chart.
