Bought it on the sale and actually don't regret it one bit. The driving feels great and the physics are just right for an arcade racer like this. Best car police chases this side of Hot Pursuit as well. The out-of-body gimmick is surprisingly messed up. Certainly wasn't expecting them to take it so far.

This series has a lot of potential. Everything outside of the main story is pretty repetitive and bland though, but the concept is too good to throw away. Can't wait for the next one!

Because Activision makes more money than EA does.

Fucking EA. Like I needed another reason to hate them.

It's a free market. If EA wants to cut out the middle-man, then let them. Just remember the next time EA whines about sales and losses, decisions like not putting your games on Steam might have contributed to this.

Over the years? Maybe somewhere between €6000-7000 including the cost of new hardware. I've spent perhaps €200 on Steam, mostly on sales. I'm not bothered about it now, but maybe some day I will. I look at my DVD collection now and regret buying most of it. I don't put any value in DVDs anymore.

Nice. I was planning on getting Infamous not long ago. Good thing I didn't! Don't have any of the other games so might as well check them out.

Final Fantasy 7. Missed out on it and I don't think I can go back and play a JRPG in that style again. I hear it's good.

Some of the games mentioned in this thread still holds up today. Deus Ex looks a bit janky by todays standards, but try it for a few hours. You'll get sucked right in. However, if you missed out on Goldeneye for the N64, that train has long since passed. It was amazing when it came out, now it looks like shit.

Platinum Games and Clover Studios.

I love them because they make console games in the old fashioned way. No DLC, no pre-order bonuses, no patches. You just put the disc in and everything just sort of works. They somehow always deliver good games, with Madworld being the exception and that's still not the worst game for the Wii. PG is the shining beacon in Japanese game development today.
