This is old news. Whatever it is. A little context might be nice. I saw a movie yesterday and it was awesome! Now, you might think the next step would be for me to give you the name of the movie....

Alotta kneejerk reactions here (And not to sound to snooty, but most of them are immature as hell)
I wasn't sure if this was just low-brow schlock or genuine social commentary about an often overlooked conflict at times.
It's a shame the movie wasn't executed a little better.
The juxtaposition of porn and torture representing the exploitation and buggery of Serbia post-Yugoslavia is an interesting one. I mean, they were hardly the sympathetic party during that conflict.
The intent was great, but they were always showing too little restraint.
I also got a strange Memento-like vibe when he was piecing together the three days (Obviously way more twisted)
 
Hey, if you're not down with deplorable shit in flicks, don't watch them. But don't condemn and certainly cry foul about why such things are made in the first place. People like you are the ones who look like idiots today now that movies like A Clockwork Orange are considered masterpieces.

The Wiki synopsis is the most sick and twisted thing I have ever read.  But, is it art? 
 
 From the article, a movie critic "likened the movie to 'having [his] soul raped' and dissuaded anyone reading his review from ever seeing it." 
 
Sounds like a pretty resounding, "No."

Oddly this reminds me of a joke I heard on TV: A pair of conjoined twins were born. At school they were known as the skipping rope.

Doesn't seem like the type of film I'm interested in seeing.
 

Movie sucks.

 I finished watching the movie about 20 minutes ago - and I still can't seem to make up my mind about what I think of it. I'm not really interested in the whole Serbia-thing.  Of course, there are potentially offending scenes galore but I prefer thinking of the film as a visually and artistically well crafted statement to the world wide discourse on media, art, pornography, life, also: love - just as said in the movie itself - though I'm not quite sure what this "statement" is. Maybe I'm going to watch it a second time, right now there are too many lines and levels in the story that come to my mind as fragments, I have to sort them first.
But all in all, not a bad movie - Silent Hill meets porn.
 
Oh, would I want to have sex after watching the film? Maybe not right after finishing it but probably at the end of the day.

rap or raping is used a total of six times on just the Wikipedia plot summary and there is a mention of "newborn porn." this movie sounds like the spawn of someone who thought that simply adding a rape to anything will make a movie 10x scarier. and i guess he was right.....

Out of curiosity I went and checked the plot synopsis for this film on Wikipedia. I found this.

Read the Wikipedia article and sounds like more Lars von Trier inspired horse shit. Some directors just don't realize that shock value does not equate to art. You can be as graphic and sexual as you want but that doesn't make your film innovative. It usually just makes it shit.

I read the wiki sypnosis at work since i was curious to see why a film would make you sick, just reading it was enough to put horrible images in my head and make me feel horrible.  A work colleague asked me why i looked so white, she thought i was going to throw up and i guess i probably was close.  I have no problem with films like Saw or Hostal, gore i can take but anything to do with child abuse i just cant overlook.  I really hope no one else has the misfortune of watching that movie, the director is twisted in a way that is verging on criminal.

I don't know what to do!! Should I read the Wiki and shit and learn more?

well, i'll have to check it out. it sounds like it sucks if your wife won't have sex with you after a movie. pretty funny i think.

I will definitely watch this movie at some point. I heard people write posts like this about the Human Centipede and that was underwhelmingly disgusting. The concept was disgusting, but the actual film wasn't that much.

Maybe you should've watched the trailer first? I've seen A Serbian Film's trailer a long time ago and then stopped caring about it, because it will absolutely tell you whether you want to see it or not.
