This video looks terrible, exhibits a lot of the same problems as the older videos.
edit:
Last thing I'll bring up, seems quality takes a nosedive when a lot of motion is brought in: http://i.imgur.com/HuYiO.jpg (Skyrim Marathon pt.2, around 28:00).
Not sure what settings would need to change to resolve this, maybe it's just bitrate at this point? Still better than how it used to be, though.
The Tekken Teg QL looks great, very noticeable improvement. The main issue I noticed before was bad bandwidth allocation, where a static or mostly static scene (like a loading screen or a menu screen) would still hit bitrates of ~1500kbps. H.264 is very efficient at this sort of thing, so I was very happy to see the Tekken QL hitting sub-100kbps in those situations.
I think this feature is sorely lacking from the API. Getting news from the RSS feed right now is less than ideal because of the way it's structured, and there's very little flexibility.
" neogaf? is that that website that charges people to get an account? or is that some other site? or am i making this up? and how do you use question marks i still have no idea sometimes? "
I'm thinking of resubscribing again (holidays coming up, want to support you guys) but at least some response to this issue is needed. Over TWO MONTHS AGO Snide said the issue would be fixed "over the week" but nothing's been done and no one's given an update, either. This is very disheartening, especially when it deals with a major feature of the subscription service. Again, the problem with HD videos has been identified in post #5 of this thread. Too many reference frames causes compatibility and image quality problems.
I'm sounding like a broken record so this is probably the last time i'll comment about this problem. If it gets fixed, great, you'll get my money. If not, then it's 640x360 for me.
