The Community Spotlight - 09/19/2014

Thank You for
Thank You for "Making it So" This Week Garudoh

Hello and welcome to the latest edition of the Giant Bomb Community Spotlight! Do not adjust your PC monitors, this edition of the Spotlight is indeed a day late, a first in my four year management of the feature, but hey sometimes things happen. Here's Duane Gerstmann to assuage any other recalcitrant feelings. Anyways we have a ton of great artwork this week, and plenty of user created videos worth checking out.So if your day continues to be crappy just laugh like Drew does when he faces adversity. That or watch Dan stab a dude in the junk repeatedly with a cigarette lighter. Anyways with that lets get on with the latest edition of the Giant Bomb Community Spotlight!

Clip of the Week

The Bitesized Bomb is back which means that TheBurlapLemur is back to compiling the best moments of every single Quick Look on Giant Bomb! Nathhaw also has an awesome PAX Prime 2014 video that is filled to the brim with Giant Bomb related footage. Finally our last video comes from the GB Community EVE Online Corp., Kite Co., and shows off their recent adventures in the game.

Awesome Artwork

Special thanks to @bdhurkett for locating some great pie graphs on Drew's Metal Gear Scanlon deaths, @supernormalstep for his staff webcomic, @halidyusein made a crack at desktop art, and someone on Tumblr has a cat that enjoys watching Drew play Metal Gear Solid.

Wonderful Wikis

Wasteland 2 and D4 are the two newish games with impressive wiki pages. Also check out @bobafettjm's great work on the Sega Channel and Kinect Sports pages!

Best of Blogs

bdhurkett mad some fancy pie charts for Brad's deaths during his old Breaking Brad for Doom II. NathHaw had gigabytes worth of footage for PAX Prime and has a great, Giant Bomb heavy, video of his adventures. MetasofEvil details how his first week of streaming for Extra Life went, whereas Supernormalstep has a webcomic project featuring the Giant Bomb crew that is worth checking out. MikeLemmer extrapolates on why he thinks leveling is what really prevents him from getting "into" MMO games and uses EVE Online as a case study. ThatPinguino went for a trifecta this week with one blog on his interest in Magic the Gathering, another on the keys to a good video game ending, and finally one advocating that Vivi from Final Fantasy IX is the best FF character ever. noahtheboa999 blogs on how he feels about Destiny now that he has reached level ten, and shares why he doubts he complete anther ten. Ford_Dent rediscovered why Killer7 is one of his favorite games ever made, similarly GrantHeaslip finally got around to playing and completing Final Fantasy VII for the first time. Mento and Sarumarine both discussed the Metal Gear Solid franchise to an extent with Mento sharing his stray thoughts on MGS, whereas Sarumarine joins Dan and Brad in regards to Peace Walker. Regularassmilk also joins the Metal Gear fray with a blog on why the Metal Gear Solid franchise is a part of his gaming DNA. Finally bobafettjm has another great update on his wiki editing work.

Fantastic Forums

As seen in the "Banner," Garudoh deserves a round of applause for meeting Jonathan Frakes and getting the most Giant Bomb autograph in the history of the site. Westill have plenty of Destony discussion threads with one on the ending and another one debating the merit of super in The Crucible. If you still do not have any interest in Destiny feel free to talk about ArcheAge or the Forza Horizon 2 demo. Finally share you dream license game pairing...hopefully it does not involve a grabage anime.

Lovable Lists

audioBusting has what likely is the list of the year, with a list of games when you can play a character that is able to open umbrellas in the rain. Slag laments over his re-purchase of games he already owns thanks to the digital age of video games. Finally FakeKisser is tinkering around with a list of games he plans on playing during the season of Fall.
