Forza Horizon is the big game and has been getting a great deal of buzz and to be expected the Forza community have ensured the wiki page for Horizon is awesome and worth checking out. I had no idea what Mugen Souls was before checking out the wiki page game and if you don't have any idea you should check out the page as well. Carmageddon is coming out for a lot of digital platforms now and as a result users have added a lot of good content on the page. The NES is 27 years old! Crazy, right? Doom 3 got a redux, but check out the main wiki page to see what Doom 3 is all about. However the big highlight this week is Praxis joining the 200,000 wiki point club in large part due to his amazing work on the Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Succession War wiki page. Congratulations to him and the wonderful work he has done on this site!
Due to the fact that the last Spotlight went out a whole day late we do not have as many blogs this week as normal. Anyways user FluxWaveZ went back and played Persona 2: Innocent Sin and discusses how he feels it's a perfect old school JRPG. Simultaneously, FluxWaveZ was far less enthused with PlayStation All-Stars and explains what isn't hooking him from the beta so far. Alaska_Gamer decided to play Resident Evil 4 for the first time and details why something feels lost to him trying to play it nowadays. Mento continues his always entertaining "Brief Jaunt Through" blog series, this time he shares his hilarious adventures with Age of Wonders. Fallen189 wrote a blog detailing why the procedural gameplay of XCOM: Enemy Unknown makes it a tense and always rewarding game to play. ArbitraryWater also played XCOM: Unknown and went into the game as a fan of the original and breaks down why he's having a lot of fun with the game. PerfidiousSinn gave the most recent Mortal Kombat game as someone who "sucks at fighting games" and describes why he struggle with the games' stiffness. User wumbo3000 wrote a blog about why he enjoys both L.A. Noire and Phoenix Wright for bringing back the investigative crime genre despite being completely different styles of game. StarvingGamer analyzes what he feels is one of the biggest problems with Resident Evil 6, the dissonance between the games' tone and mechanics. Little_ Socrates isn't able to play The Walking Dead anymore thanks to a massive bug and describes his general feelings about bugs in games. Finally MajorMitch details why he wasn't all that amused by Tokyo Jungle, but had a lot of fun with XCOM.
If your still interested at tackling Tokyo Jungle DarkestZam just made your time with the game a whole lot easier with a complete map of the game with all of the locations on it. Finally we have reach that time of the year again...yes that's right it's time to discuss which games you think are worthy of being called "Game of the Year." However, don't let that forget about the games of ill-repute. Talk about the worst games you played this year also on the official discussion thread for "Worst Game of 2012."
Video_Game_King has started a very difficult project of trying to list every game that calls out the player by name during the game. He needs your help with coming up with more examples to put on his list! Mento is getting into the spooky spirit just like Patrick and has created a list of all the games he has played that feature ghost ships. Hunter5024 created two lists this week. One listing his favorite video game endings and another of prominent game companies that he thinks can do better than what they have been doing so far. User rockyhorrorgerri is a better person than most of us and likes to sit through the credits sequences for games all the way through and has created a list of all the games she has viewed completely. Finally TepidSharks is a dreamer, but a dreamer with a great idea. He's decided to create a list of characters taht would be great in a potential Avengers vs Street Fighter game.
