The Community Spotlight - 10/26/2012

Many Thanks to deathstroke75 for the Banner!

Hello and welcome to the latest edition of the Community Spotlight! $25,976.44. That's how much money the entire Giant Bomb ExtraLife group raised. Alexis and Drew alone raised $17,439. I'd like to take the time to thank Matt Pascual for organizing the ExtraLife group and encouraging Alexis and Drew for participating in the event. Also great work to everyone else who participated and to everyone who donated to make this possible. No news on the archive for the Halo Marathon yet though. For those that don't know Will Smith and Norman Chan are holding their yearly Octoberkast to raise money for Child's Play this weekend! Expect various guest appearances by Giant Bomb staff and friends for those that plan on watching it. If you were curious to know what Patrick's thought are about G4 ending its game reviews and news direction, as someone who worked at G4, you can read about them over here. With that let's get on with the latest edition of the Community Spotlight!

Blogging menace, eh? Why does that sound like something you'd see on an Old West WANTED poster? And why do I want exactly that?

Posted by Phatmac

Woo! My stuff is on here' :)

@Phatmac@Sparky_Buzzsaw: No problem as always.
@EpicSteve: The banner making community has been at it since 2010 when the first Quake TNT occurred. They've been making great stuff ever since.

Man I have got to get in on those Forza Race nights, I don't have Horizon yet but never found much good online play in Forza 4, that's looking pretty good.

Posted by Video_Game_King

I wasn't expecting this to be so almost-timely.

I did a couple of things about Death and Darksiders II. It's been a grim week. Happy Día de los Muertos!

Mark my words...one of these days I will report the pun police on you.

What are they going to do? Take punitive measures? They'll be just as bad as the criminals they apprehend.

As someone who has served multiple terms at the pun prison I can tell you that they just have you write in prose for whatever your "page sentence" is.

Congrats everyone! I remember the last time I played a racing game was Burnout 3. Forza Horizon looks rad.

Same here. Burnout 3 was pretty damn cool, even if I spent most of it listening to this.

Burnout Revenge is where my Burnout knowledge begins and end. I was always more of a Need for Speed guy.

Also, I don't think I have any material for a User List section for this week.

I think I've played Need for Speed once, but I don't remember enough to say anything meaningful on the subject. (It goes about as far as "There are cars. There are cops. They do car and cop stuff. Also, a mountain.")
