Doom "closed" beta is up on steam. I'm not sure why i'm in it - i didn't sign up or pre-order it.

But it just CTD when i try to play it... uninstall! (looks real bad anyway. even if the beta worked.. i would only play for a few min. ID doesn't like to support multi GPUs.. so F them)

oh.. pre-order cancelled!

i still might have kept it for the dx12 on the PC.. but SLI isn't supported.. so.. cancelled.

sadly it doesn't look like the game supports SLI (yet?). The new NVidia drivers talk about the game, but there is no new profile.. ugh. So i'm guessing no 4k. But still better than pooo 720p 30fps on the xbox one.

I wonder when they are giving out the PC code for pre-ordering the xbox one digital version. (I can already pre-load on the xbox one)

also, pre-order whatever you feel like. Clearly there is no worries about doing that on the steam or EA as you can return games if you don't like it. There is already video on the site with drew to see if you like the game or not.

You are doing disservice to all other consumers by pre-ordering.

saying stuff like that is crazy. If the game sucks and you can't return it, the only disservice done is to the person that bought it. In the end games are just games. play it or not. Wait or not. It it your money.

it is real enough that people i'm playing with hear an endless stream of nonsense from me about places we are walking past :)

Do the challenge runs. You get gold gear and phoenix points. The best gear is ilevel 31. Those drop in the high end DZ (level 32) and from phoenix points crafted items.

I finally got to 50 today and to my .. hrmm.. surprise while helping buddies level to DZ 50 too.. I hit 51.

Any one know what that max level is for DZ?

@shivoa: I've been crafting and running challenge modes. Those always drop a gold and you can do it with 3 geared people that are talking to one another. That and i did have some good luck on the level 32 part of the DZ.

i'm really liking the game. It is a little two ez to get gear tho... (of course I've played for like 70 hours... soo.. )

i get odd slow downs time to time. like SUPER slow. seems random and mostly when i'm looking at my inventory or a store. But if someone is playing with me every hour or so they will hear "hrmm.. hey.. i think i'm crashing.. hrmm.. no.. ok. i'm back" :)

i'm running with 4 way SLI and a Gsync monitor. that mix causes problem time to time :)

this has been know for a long time - that said, as a PC user this makes me sad that i have to wait.
