Game » consists of 2 releases. First released on Nov 14, 2005

The Project Gotham Racing franchise continues on the Xbox 360 as a launch title. The online play and focus on driving with style from the earlier games in the franchise remained, but the game saw a graphical leap and a different approach to content than its predecessor.

Project Gotham Racing 3 - how good is it?

How good is PGR3? I'm not a huge racing fan and I downloaded the demo and did have some fun with it - I just want to know how good it was for someone who isn't a huge racing fan. I mean I like some racers but I don't like super realistic ones like Grand Turismo or Froza.

I just want something I can get into a car and go and race - I'm just wondering because I saw the game for $4.99 Canadian (used) at ebgames.

I dislike driving/racing games intensely, it's one of the 3 or 4 i've ever really enjoyed. So I reckon it's pretty good.

PGR4 is not better than 3 imo.  Graphically, 4's a little better, but everything else is better in 3.  And for 4.99 you can not go wrong, if you just want a fun, deep, sp racer.

I got my copy of PGR3 for $5 new and considering it was designed on Mac computers, it has to be good  :-)   Seriously though, I have enjoyed all 3 games.  For $5 you can't go wrong.

It's a solid racer and definitely worth the $5 it would cost you to pick it up. It's a bit too arcade-y (while still trying to be somewhat sim-like) for my tastes, but it's still a fun game.

It's awesome! It was the first racer, that wasn't Mario Kart that I enjoyed.

not really. In 4 the handling and feel of the cars has a lot more "character" to it.

Thanks for the help.

I'm not to big on sim racers so I guess that it being in between is a good thing for me.

Great game with a lot of depth and content. For that price you definately can't go wrong.
