Project Offset was the working title of an epic fantasy first-person shooter from Offset Software. The game was canceled upon the closing of Offset Software.
Big Download has news that Intel has shut the project down and shut down the Offset studio (whose people have already formed Fractiv).
It seemed pretty likely after Intel trashed the first wave of Larabee processors. Wonder if these guys will ever make a game since Intel still owns them.
While I've never heard of Project Offset, at least Intel were making an effort at doing something a little different. It could have been an interesting attempt at demonstrating what you can do when you optimise for Intel hardware.
