Well at the moment the powers I have are:  
Whip 
Claws 
Shield 
Thermal vision 
Muscle mass 
Stone hand thingy( Dont know what it is called) 
 
And I thinks thats about it for powers might have one more.  
I am around 4/5 hours through and have just defeated that special ops dude and like literally just lost my powers 
For whats availible at the shop I have bought everything possible except for like one thing. 
 
So as the title says... Am I going through this game to fast?

You meant 4-5 hours? I thought you meant four fifths...
 Well, from what I know about the game (which, admitably, isn't much), you are meant to get the majority of your powers around 6 hours within the game.

Hmmmmm Cheers, That seems way short but whatever. Oh and btw go on msn shin megami tensei is coming out of d.s..... so yeh thats a more personal thing.
