Worth playing.

It's worth a rent don't know if its worth buying though.

I went though the main story in about 10h most of that time was spend traveling from one side of the city to the other since they seem to like dropping you on the opposite side of the city from the next mission.

Unless you really liked the story there is really no incentive to go through the game again unless your going for trophies/achievements. It has no choices or any thing in it its just a point A to B story. And I didn't find the gameplay compelling enough to want to do the side missions. But that's more of a personal preference. I am not a big fan of brawlers which at its heart is what this game is. The game is also very frustrating at times I played on normal and it felt like the hardest modes on other games at times and at other times you blow right through every thing it was very uneven.

I also think the story could have used a bit more polish to have the rough edges filed down its really uneven and even hard to follow at times. And jumps around quite a bit.

Don't get me wrong its defiantly fun enough and the story is entertaining enough to be worth playing through once but unless you like the gameplay style its only worth a rent.

If Prototype seems familiar to you, don't be surprised. Anyone who played last generation's The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction (also developed by Radical Entertainment) will immediately recognize most of Prototype's key mechanics, as many of them are ripped, unchanged, straight from The Hulk.      I beat Prototype yesterday on Normal difficulty. I ended up playing for another hour afterwards, and then started over in New Game +. As you can see, I really enjoy this game, but it's not for everyone.     Prototype is a free world, action/adventure game developed by Radical Entertainment, which is just another way of saying "If you liked The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, you might like this game."
