Weird Trend in Quantic Dream Games

#1 Edited by Rolyatkcinmai (2695 posts) -

Anyone else find it a bit odd that the same outfit is used in all three Quantic Dream games? I first noticed the similarity in Heavy Rain, where her white tank top and underwear were eerily similar to the woman in Fahrenheit. However, watching Vinny and Dave play Omikron the other day I noticed that same outfit is used again. Three instances establish a trend right?

Anyone want to take bets on this outfit popping up in Beyond?

Well that's pretty common nightwear for most women, so I wouldn't exactly call it a trend. Maybe it's deliberate though, I don't know.

This is true, but I find it a bit odd it pops up in three games from the same team (and not in any other game that comes to mind).

They all kinda look the same, too. Maybe someone on staff just has an ex they're being super creepy about?

With the Assmotion Engine(tm) we're able to have an ass express a greater range of emotions than ever before.

It is one universe! :O

Or perhaps the designer has a thing for short haired brunettes in white underwear.

Are you suggesting that the same women is time-leaping through the Quantic Dream multiverse and assuming multiple identities in each of these stories?

Very interesting indeed

And Tim Burton likes thin effete detached men in black with dark makeup. George Martin likes food, a whole lot. It's Author Appeal.

That's more or less exactly what I suggested.

@mtcantor:

But my post had multiverse. TOTALLY DIFFERENT.

There needs to be erotic fan fiction for this.

It sounds like you theorizing some sort of...Quantic Dream Quantum Leap.

...I'll show myself out.

Though seriously, if there were a game where you quantum leap through various snippets of (hypothetical) Quantic Dream games, but never enough of any one section to have any idea what the fuck is happening in the story, before you're whisked away to another one, that would be awesome.

This sounds relevant to my interests. What kind of emotions?

Pooping mostly. The idea is sound but the special controller is still a good few years out.
