It's been confirmed. Looks like it will be fine on both systems, you can always install the game if you have the space on 360 and 8GB for PS3 is not bad at all, I think even with all the downloadable games and retail games I have my PS3 still has around 30GB left.

Does this impact your decision on which console you'll pick up Rage for?

I've never had a multi disc game, the only thing I can think of is Persona 4 but that's because the second disc was the soundtrack. How are 3+ disc games packaged on the 360? Is the case bigger?

Call me crazy but I love having multiple discs and switching between them. I'm still not sure whether to get it on a PC or console. On consoles, I get to play co-op with my brother. On PC, well mods nuff said.

I find it difficult to get up every 20 hours so the Playstation version is the way to go. That's if I can be arsed to delete some stuff from my 120GB harddrive to make room. Fuck games today they're such a chore XD

Can you install all the discs and just use one for 360? Or is it like Mass Effect 2 where you have to switch anyways even though you installed both? If I was getting the game, I would go PS3 if it works like the way Mass Effect 2 does.

it has these flimsy plastic additions that hold other discs between covers of the box, sort of like CDs

I was always getting it on PC, so not an issue for me. For console-only owners it probably just comes down to PS3 HDD space and personal opinion on swapping discs.

I played Mass Effect 1 on the PC and while I was at first hesitant I jumped to PS3 for 2. It came with all the DLC and was on one disc so that was great and they have a little motion comic at the beginning where you choose the major choices from Mass Effect 1, like the Wrex scenario etc. The PS3 version is running for $39 now which isn't bad considering it has the first 3 DLC packs, not Arrival though which I heard wasn't that great anyway.

Just uninstalled Witcher 2 which was something like 13 or 14 gigs. And put in its place Deus Ex which is something like 5 or 6 gigs. So it should be fine. This really isn't a big number for a modern game, the problem is the 360's DVD format is so thouroughly outdated.

Not really. Most current games don't require installs and if it does it's usually small. I have 20 downloadable games and 30 real games between me and my brother and at least 70% of my harddrive is free.

@Afroman269: I think you have to switch the discs anyway, because I'm pretty sure with all 360 games it has to verify that you actually have the disc. You know, to prevent someone from installing all the discs, then have his friend do it with the same discs, and they can both play it, but only buy one copy.

@MooseyMcMan: Forza is the one game where it will install all the extra stuff from the second disc so that you only have to use one. Other games should try this. Ehh whatever, if it's going to go the backwards approach by making you swap, I'll go PS3.

Three? So they changed the game yet again? I wish Carmack would try adhering to an initial vision instead of morphing it around a billion times whenever he tweaks the tech. Doom was supposed to be open world, as well.

25 GB download and Install is nothing to sneeze at either, albeit I agree. Currently PC gaming is where it's at. Not my preferred platform generally, but right now, there's just no way past it.

Don't care because I won't be getting this game. But in general it don't matter, anyone complaining about changing discs is lazy. Hell at the very least changing discs will keep you from getting blood clots, like that kid who died playing Final Fantasy or something.
