Tell Your Bug Stories

I found an amazing bug in Rage that inspired me to create a brand new thread. In Subway Town, as I went down the elevator to the Resistance Hideout, I, for some reason, decided to crouch as I stepped off of the elevator. I fell through the floor and landed on an invisible floor underneath the Subway Town map. I was able to move around like normal and could look up at the map above me. The map covered the entire Subway Town, the hideout and the town itself. It kind of reminded me of those top-down maps on old FPS games like Doom and Duke Nukem but in full 3D...kinda. It was really weird. It was as if I was in the testing mode for the game's developers. It also lead to that infamous 60 FPS dropping as I looked at the entire map all at once.

So, what was the weirdest bug you ran in to while playing Rage?

Yep I got this one - it was great. i loved being able to look up at the map as if I was at the bottom of the sea. No other real ones apart from the odd enemy standing stock still and staring at me, or NPC's speech finishing and their mouths still moving.

I've only come across one. I came across a bandit buggy, and it was just stuck. I tried ramming into it, but when I collided, I was skyrocketed wayyyy into the air. It was pretty cool. Eventually, I got out of my car and tried to get in the buggy, and when I did, it just switched to black screen and I couldn't get out. Had to load. :(

I came across that Subway Town bug as well.

It just further reminded me what a lack-luster effort the game was.

No bugs for me, haven't been to Subway town yet however.

Lackluster? Have you seen the games graphics and animation?!

I guess the engine is highly subjective. My experience was near flawless.

Funny how some people take genuine offense though. As though id are making bets on how much they can piss their customers off.

Somehow I fell through the elevator in the Resistance base.

Just me, chilllin' under the city.
