What game at launch was perfect? None! Get off the QQ train and give it a day or 2 to get patched, shit people.. Dead island was a glitch fest for the first week and now it runs fine on all versions and is and has been in the top 10 steam games played and top 1-3 sold since launch which is like 3 weeks now.. Give the game some time to get patched before you call it shit. K thx bye, day one buyers.
Thanks for making the most nonsensical post in the thread.
There have been a lot of games that were great day 1 on PC. Deus Ex was flawless for me, and The Witcher 2 was as well.

Whoa whoa whoa...a refund and the game has been out for 2 hours? Give it a day or two for them to respond man, no need to rush. If you haven't had a refund through Steam yet, you will still have your "You have one chance for a refund" card to play (I got a refund on a game before due to technical reasons even after owning/trying to play it for a week or so), so don't worry about the time issue.
I'm usually a very patient person, but after seeing the problems that this game has, after being in development for something like 5 years now, I'm not sure that I even want to play it any more. Plus, after reading some reviews I am pretty disappointed with how the game itself ended up. 10-12 hours of single-player, and the multi-player is vehicle only? Also, I think a lot of people (myself included) thought that this game was going to be a little more RPG-like, and open-worldy. Sadly it isn't, and the midnight of launch day review embargo didn't help me realize that until it was too late.
Really though, it's my fault for pre-ordering it. I should have been my normal patient self and waited till release.
