    Raijin is a student at Balamb Garden and friend of Seifer Almasy and Fujin. They act as members of Balamb Garden's disciplinary committee. Seifer tends to lead the group with Fujin and Raijin acting as his henchmen. As Seifer's sanity starts to slip throughout the events of Final Fantasy VIII Fujin and Raijin stick with Seifer however seem to be aware that what he is doing is wrong.

    Raijin acts as a boss battle at three points in the game. Despite this, he and Fujin seem to actually have similar interests as the main party.
