Noooo... that's totally, completely sucks.

Do you hear that silence? That's the sound of countless Slim Jims not being snapped into.

A great loss to those who follow and support the professional wrestling industry. May he rest in peace and continue to be a badass in heaven.

What sucks is that he seems to be one of the few former wrestlers who were able to go on to live decent lives.

Although the news is so tragic, this fucking made me laugh.

This is really sad.  I just got a text from my mom a while ago telling me it had happened.  I work at a liquor store here in Florida (not far from Tampa) and there's a few ex-pro wrestlers that are regular customers.  I probably saw Randy on average once or twice a week.  He was always cool when he came in, very nice.  Definitely will miss him.

:( Bad news!

I never watched him back in his days, but watched stuff on how he wrestled and acted!. I think I would have been a pretty big fan...

As a youth that grew up watching WWF during the eighties, this is definitely sad to read. So many WWF stars from that era have lost their lives, many in terrible ways. So unfortunate. Randy Poffo, may you rest in peace.

Really bummed about this. He was one of the greatest. RIP

I am genuinely saddened by this.

OMG.  I am really sad right now.  This can't have happened.  He just started getting back into the good graces of the WWE with WWE All Stars, and he is just taken away from us.  RIP Macho Man.

It's one hell of a bummer.

#42 Posted by Mijati (948 posts) -

Well fuck.

Wonder if the WWE will do anything about this on RAW on Monday, (if it's still RAW on Monday, not watched Wrestling for many years now).

This is goddamn terrible.  Rest in Peace, Macho Man.  You made my childhood afternoons awesome.

I grew up watching him and had so many memories with him on WWE and WCW.
I actually cried when I heard the news.
Hope he becomes a WWE Hall of Famer next year.

Deaths of celebrities don't affect me in any way, except for young ones and I would've like to see them do more stuff i.e. Heath Ledger, Brittany Murphy and to some degree Michael Jackson, but I don't mourn, because I don't know these people.

i guess it's just hearing about ppl. dying, though I didn't get worked up over MJ., so it is selective. I  did feel actually bad about Ledger and Murphy. And I feel bad about this guy. It takes away from other ppl,..and it's not too close to home.

EDIT- Ethan had an excellent you tube about macho-Man in the comments.

I won't say I'm sad or anything, didn't know the guy so I couldn't care less about him on a personal level.

But I guess it's always a bad thing when people die
#48 Posted by Chris2KLee (2337 posts) -

I'm definitely a little sad. WWF was a big part of my childhood in the 80's and Randy Savage was one of my all time favorites. RIP Macho Man.
