Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando is the sequel to Ratchet & Clank and the second game in the long-running franchise developed by Insomniac Games.
Story
After defeating Ultimate Supreme Executive Chairman Drek, Ratchet and Clank became galactic celebrities. However, things started cooling down after a while. Nearly a year after their previous escapade they appeared in an interview for Behind the Hero, and were teleported to the Bogon Galaxy by the founder and CEO of Megacorp (a company that made everything from household appliances to heavy weaponry), a man by the name of Abercrombie Fizzwidget (who had a tendency to use malapropisms and often made up words). It appeared that a masked "dupliferous criminal mastermind" had stolen a valuable experiment: A cute blue fuzzball.
Clank was reluctant to partake in another adventure, so Ratchet went solo while infiltrating the thief's ship. The Thief then hired Thugs-4-Less (their motto is "If it ain't broke, we'll break it") for protection. The dastardly thief also kidnapped Clank! After Ratchet came to Clank's rescue, Clank had no choice but to go along with Ratchet.
Ratchet confronted the thief on planet Siberius defeating the thief, reclaiming the Experiment, and returned it to Mr. Fizzwidget. After Mr. Fizzwidget accidentally ejected the duo from his ship, the thief approached, demanding the experiment, not realizing that Ratchet didn't have it. When the thief fell off of her ship (falling about 5 feet), her mask came off, revealing that she was Angela Cross. Angela warned Ratchet that the experiment would ultimately doom the galaxy.
On planet Dobbo, Ratchet and Clank discovered that Angela's claims were true, and tried to persuade Fizzwidget to destroy the experiment, but their efforts were in vain. The duo then stumbled across an ad for the "Protopet" (the experiment), which was being prepared for mass release. At this point, it is revealed that Thugs-4-Less terminated their contract with Angela and had been hired by Megacorp to "protect" Mr. Fizzwidget.
On planet Boldan, Ratchet and Clank are captured for "attempting to bump off" Mr. Fizzwidget. They were sent to a prison on Planet Aranos. After being freed by one of Clank's admirers (a female Infobot), they headed to Thugs-4-Less HQ to free Angela, who was also captured by the thugs. Our heroes vanquished the thug leader and freed Angela. Eventually, the three of them went to Megacorp HQ to end the Protopet menace once and for all.
After they got there, the female Infobot revealed that Captain Qwark (the disgraced superhero from Ratchet & Clank) created the Protopets to restore his reputation. Fizzwidget appeared, and in a surprising plot twist, he was actually Qwark in disguise! He took Angela's Helix-O-Morph (a gadget that would repair the fatal flaw in the Protopet) and zapped the original Protopet. But something went wrong, and the original Protopet mutated into a gigantic monster. When Ratchet finally defeated the Protopet, Clank discovered that the batteries were in backwards in the Helix-o-morph. Angela corrected this also via amplifying the device with Megacorp's TV transponders and zapped the original, ending the threat once and for all. The real Fizzwidget appeared. It turns out he's been tied up in a closet this whole time, and he spoke perfect English as well (no malapropisms, no made-up words).
Everyone else lived happily, except Qwark. He gets a job in the Megacorp Testing Facility, acting as a test dummy for gadgets like the Crotchitizer which he ends up taking a liking to as referred to in Up Your Arsenal.

PLANETS
A list of planets in the game listed in order of which they appear is as follows:
Oozla - Oozla iss a big swampy planet that was home to the Megacorp outlet, where Megacorp merchandise could be bought at a discounted price. Over time it became a virtual wasteland, overgrown with weeds and swampland, teeming with hostile, indigenous creatures. These creatures were only kept in check by the outlet's perimeter defenses
Maktar Nebula - No really a planet, but it is a spacestation and Casino. There are slot maschines around the station. But the biggest attraction of the station is a large arena where fights are held. Ratchet can enter these fights as a contestant
Barlow - Barlow is a desert planet that was once Gadgetron's major hub in Bogon Galaxy. However, Gadgetron was forced to leave because of the Vukovar Tribesmen which began to raid the headquarters and Megacorp being the more popular choice in the galaxy.
It was possible that Megacorp nuked it, due to the Fizzwidget Bot on Todano saying that a missile made Megacorp the one and only choice.
Endako - Endako is one of the most populous worlds of the Bogon Galaxy. The crown jewel of the Bogon, the planet's bustling city of Megapolis was easily one of the largest and most populated cities of the galaxy, with towering skyscrapers and traffic-filled airways. The city is likely owned and administrated by Megacorp
Notak - Notak is the Bogon Galaxy's answer to Rilgar. Known for its dark canals and famous hoverboat rides, it was here that Ratchet and Clank sought out The Thief. Its largest city and capital was supposedly Canal City . It is also one of the galaxy's most beautiful cities.
Slim Cognito's Ship Shack - A private asteroid for the galaxys most famous black market smuggler. You can upgrade your ship here.
Siberius - Siberius is a planet similar to Hoven. Its an icy planet which was used as a base by The Unknown Thief and was the location where the Thief tried to destroy the Protopet. The Thief is foiled by Ratchet who retrieved the Protopet and returned it to Abercrombie Fizzwidget. If you fall in the water you would be flash-frozen, resulting in an instant death.
Tabora - Tabora is a dry desert planet rich with valuable sources such as raritanium, and the less valuable crystals, which were only valuable to the few people who had the ability to utilize their cosmic energy. Traveling in the large wastelands of Tabora was not recommended, as it was inhabited by dangerous creatures such as Desert Dune Monsters, the spitting Dune Crawlers and Mutant Sandflies. However, Tabora was once a lush Jungle planet but Megacorp couldnt mine the rartanium with all that jungle in their way so they cut down all the forests.
Dobbo - Dobbo was an aquatic jungle world that was home to one of the largest Megacorp testing facilities in the Bogon Galaxy. It is there that Megacorp tested products for safety and rejects those that are considered too dangerous.
Joba - Joba was the jungle world which hosted the Megacorp Games and Hoverbike Races. The passage to these events were however been blocked by travelers from Vukovar Canyon on Barlow, who have claimed the land for their own. Luckily, some of their Saur-Beasts were recruited for the game's arena.
Todano - Todano is a forest world with large mountains, that is the location of one of the largest Megacorp weapons facility in the Bogon Galaxy. A robotic Abercrombie Fizzwidget gives guided tours, mostly about the giant missiles in the foyer.
Boldan - Boldan is a highly populated planet in the Bogon Galaxy. One of the three cityscape planets, the others being Endako and Notak. Home to Silver City, it was the first planet to give a demonstration of the Protopet. The planet had yellow skies and was covered with a fair amount of vegetation.
Aranos - Aranos was an icy planet in Sector 7, which surface is covered in seemingly endless mountains. Angela Cross owned a large flying laboratory hovering in the atmosphere of Aranos (likely part of the generous bonus packages she got when working for Megacorp), which was guarded by Megacorp's own MSR (Megacorp Security Robots) versions I and II.
Gorn - Gorn is a dangerous planet where the only sign of life was on the peaks of mountans high above the surface. Gorn was very stormy, so steering a spaceship too high will usually attract lightning and destroy the ship. Gorn was also very foggy, so anyone who steered a ship too low would most likely get lost and crash into something. In addition, Gorn was infestated with bandits and pirates.
Snivelak - Planet Snivelak is a hot, lava-filled planet that was home for the Thugs. It was also where the Thugs-4-Less secret headquarters was located. The HQ was much like a small city, bought with all the money earned from their "hit" jobs.
Smolg - Smolg was a large poisonous world due to "Abercrombie Fizzwidget's" meddling in Megacorp. Many of the creatures living on Smolg were mutated and were the few who were not were forced to hide in the airborne distribution centers. The planet was covered in clouds and all of the facilities and settlements were situated on massive high-altitude platforms, as there was no accessible surface. Large freighter vessels flew in and out of the facilities everyday. The facility stocked, according to the Thugs-4-Less Leader, 10 million crates, each one containing 100 protopets.
Damosel - Damosel is a mostly domestic planet, its capital being Allgon City. Damosel was one of the few planets to use hypnotism, which was outlawed on most planets. In Going Commando, Ratchet and Clank have to fight through Allgon City, a residential and commercial city of robots that had been overrun by the Protopets, which multiplied quickly by throwing up other Protopets. Extermibots were deployed to eradicate the infestation, but since their target data simply said "Small and Fuzzy", they were just as likely to attack Ratchet as the Protopets.
Grelbin - Planet Grelbin is an icy tundra home to Angela Cross. It was home to enormous ice deserts, filled with deadly creatures such as Y.E.T.I.s and Arctic Leviathans. It was also home to many moonstones. Very few facilities existed on Grelbin, but those that did were often used to mine ice and minerals deep underground. Angela Cross owned a large estate on this planet due to the very generous bonus package Megacorp gave her during her employment.
Yeedil - Planet Yeedil is home to Megacorp's main headquarters. All sorts of new products came from the supply lines here, from household items to massively powerful weapons and gadgets. An ID badge was needed to access the headquarters. It was a very rocky world with a dark sky full of brown and black clouds and smoke. It was home to a few rivers and very little vegetation which probably made it arid.
