Great Start to a Great Series

This is the first game in the series that I played, and thank goodness it was. I would've been so lost in the story line. But that is besides the point.

Ratchet and Clank is great platformer and shooter. It has a vast collection of unique weapons, the Agents of Doom was my personal favorite.

It also has  a great cast of characters, some of which who have a reoccurring role in later Ratchet games.

All the levels are unique and colorful and provide a great universe to explore. This is the game that really got me hooked onto the PS2.

Quite simply, Ratchet & Clank is a platformer gone mad. Sure, there are items to be collected and jumping to be done, but if you had to sum the game up in a single word, it would have to be: guns. While the genre standard would have you punching, kicking, and jumping on heads, Ratchet & Clank offers up 30 different crazy weapons and gadgets at your disposal to take care of business.  It is practically common knowledge in the video game community that Spyro the Dragon, a beloved character from the PlayStation days, is pretty much history.
