I can't believe how much fun it has been with my wife, who generally won't play anything!

Thanks for the recommendation. I'm constantly trying to get my wife over the 'games are for kids' mentality she has.

Whats the platforming like? She obviously isn't completely at home using a controller.

We played New Super Mario Bros to death and I hoped this would transition the missus over to the Xbox. No such luck she finds the controller confusing despite the relative lack of uses for buttons, she also thinks it's too weird....so not a good start and I've not tried since.

We played Lego Harry Potter and Lego Indiana Jones but now they are done and she isn't interested in any of the recent franchises they've hit. Even bought the Lego Movie game and she just outright said no!

It sure is a lot easier than Rayman Origins...
