    Real Time Bullets

    Concept »

This is a game design that treats bullets as independent projectiles effected by the game's physics.

    Short summary describing this concept.

There are two ways to approach bullets in video games. One is to treat them like real bullets, Real Time Bullets, and the other is to allow Instant Hit.

When a video game uses bullets as real time bullets, the bullet is an independent object that "flies". This has a few effects on game play.

In order to hit a moving target, a player would need to lead the target, as the bullet would need to set a course to collide with the its mark.

If a player is attempting to snipe at a long distance, the player will need to compensate for the distance by aiming slightly up.
