Realism is where a game attempts to accurately mimic real life through gameplay mechanics and visuals. Realistic games, notable examples being Operation Flashpoint, Full Spectrum Warrior and the Brothers in Arms series, typically focus upon squad tactics, such as suppressive fire and flanking.
