    Red Dead Redemption

    Game » consists of 23 releases. Released May 18, 2010

    Red Dead Redemption is the spiritual successor to 2004's Red Dead Revolver, featuring a vibrant, open world set in the decline of the American Wild West. Players take on the role of former outlaw John Marston, who is forced to hunt down his former gang to regain his family.

    Is it me, or was the game really short? ( no spoilers )

    like I said earlier, I played the game on and off, so I don`t see the point in watching the cut scenes again after seeing them before

    @InfamousBIG: Yeah, I actually regret not having played MGS all those years back, as there are some parts of 4 that would have been so much better had I done so. Still, It's easily the best game on the PS3, and probably my favorite in the series (I can't decide between Sons of Liberty or Guns of the Patriots.).

    @SpiralStairs:
    Same exact story here, man.  But, I probably would never have played through the rest of them if I hadn't played through 4 first.  The gameplay conventions are simply too primitive now.

    @blazerx9x: Wait, wait, wait... you SKIPPED the cut scenes? WHY?

    Not to put too fine a point on it, but WTF is WRONG with you? If you're going to SKIP almost all of the actual STORY, you should just ignore it and jump right into multiplayer.

    Its too bad. I spent over 40 hours before the ending. The ending was pretty heart-wrenching for me to say the least.

    It's probably gonna take a huge chunk of your time if you aim for the 100%, but I'd have to admit that the main storyline is kinda short.  I was hoping that the last story arc drags out a little longer. I was beginning to feel a little attached to the Marston family.

    For someone who skips cutscenes, you sure are bothered about spoilers.

    Erm, how does one relate to a topic like this without having completed the game?

    i did the exact same thing and it took me 13-15 hours "

    How did you beat it that quickly? It took me forty something to beat it, and I got the time over 50 by doing some side quests and things that I didn't finish before beating it?

     7 extra hours? More like 50. I played it from start to finish and from 0 to 100% in about 50 hours and I didn't even fast travel. And it was the first Rockstar game where I didn't go on a collecting spree just because I felt like I had to but because I wanted to and enjoyed it. (Although trying to kill cougars and bears with knives wasn't as enjoyable than the rest of it.

    Uhhh... I have over 2 days just in the single player, and I still haven't beaten it. So I would say no, not too short.

    I cant imagine playing a rock star game and skipping the cut scenes. How would you have any idea what is going on and who the characters are? Would ruin alot of the enjoyment of the singleplayer for me.

    I'm at 39% complete with a little more than 17 hours of play time.  I would not call that short.
