I just finished the game (yes late too the party I know), anyway when looking at reviews and videos of this game i noticed that a lot of the footage I saw involved murder or fighting bounty hunters. The only bounty i ever got was from that one mission where you had to steal a horse. Did anyone else play the way I do?
who else played the game honorably?
Bounty Missions rewarded you with Honour, and were considered a good deed. If you killed your bounty instead of capture then you'd receive less Honour, but you'd get some non the less. I bet close to everyone played the game honourably anywhoo. The story, and John Marston as a character, was so obviously morally aligned with his tale of trying to redeem himself, that going around murdering innocent people or leaving them to be eaten by cannibals or what have you felt stupid and completely tore down the immersion.
The morality meter was completely pointless, and I wish it wasn't in there altogether.
What is it that you didn't do? you went through this shooter without shooting?Mostly yeah. I liked role playing as an honorable cowboy and only shot at those who deserved it or those who shot at me, but a lot of the footage of the game shows people with bounties in the hundreds.
