Red Dead Redemption Review, My thoughts.

Well for starters I really had high hopes for this game and it truly delivered on every level.  The start of the game really opens up the games story very well and slowly introduces the main character, instead of throwing a bunch of things at you at once and saying "Alright fix this and that".  Speaking of the main character, John Marston is a man on a mission.  You see the pain in his eyes and the troubled past in his heart, but you know the wants to set things right.  The graphics in the game are very beautiful to look at and make you really feel like your in the wild west.  The day and night cycle, along with the whether cycle really shows off the power of the 360.  Within the open world there is a whole slew of things you will encounter and every bit of it is exciting as just watching the sun turn to night.  Animals will roam the wild, people will go about there business, and other outlaws will proceed to go about there evil deeds, all while having the option to interact with these things.  You can hunt the animals in the wild and skin them for pelts, fur, and other things you use to trade at the store for money.  The other people in the land will ask you for help and a lot of these missions are very unique in the fact that you can solve them in multiple ways.  Outlaws in the land will try and rob people of there belongings and you can choose to help them or defeat them.  Doing one of these will change your good or evil meter, depending on what side you lean towards, you will get special bonuses do so.  There a lot of Easter eggs and things to unlock in the world.  One of the many things to unlock in the game is outfits.  Some of the outfits will do special to you and you can unlock these by doing certain tasks that involve the outfit.  There are mini games that you can play in the game will have you spending hours alone just doing them.  Everything from poker to liars dice is at  hand and many others that will have you wanting to shoot the competition at times, but you will eventually get the upper hand or that ace up your sleeve.  For 60 dollars it is definitely worth the price and way over several days of game play and that is not including the multiplayer.

Now the multiplayer for Red Dead Redemption is really cool in my opinion.  The lobby itself is the whole open world of Red Dead Redemption and you can do whatever you want in the open world, aside from playing the mini games like poker and such.  Which is kinda a let down, but they did put a lot into the multiplayer and I can't complain to much.  Some of the multiplayer games in the lobby are the traditional ones like capture the flag and so on.  But there are some new ones that really stand out and really make you have to think quick on your feet.  But one of the main attractions to the multiplayer is the ability to create a 16 man posse and take out other posses in the multiplayer world.

All in all the game for me gets a 10/10.  Hands down the best open-world game out there and I totally feel this is how the wild west should be done.  Well I'm off to shoot up some bears.

      Goodbye, Horses. 0

Meet John Marston. He's a nice guy.   Usually known for the satire and comedic parodies of their flagship franchise – Grand Theft Auto – Rockstar Games has taken a more serious tone with their new take on the Old West, Red Dead Redemption. While the game’s open world structure is similar to that of GTA, Redemption is a more refined experience in both scope and story, and accomplishes more in terms of storytelling than most other games in the genre. Set during the early 20th Century, Red...

No puns, a Rockstar classic. 0

It's easy to forget just how special Rockstar games can be. Grand Theft Auto taints and enhances the company in equal measure with the connotations conjured when Rockstar is brought up is one of modern satire, controversy and a style of game for a very specific type of gamer. As such there was little hype about Red Dead Redemption. GTA with cowboys was the call and despite a larger than usual spread of information from Rockstar there was little idea of what kind of game awaited us. Red Dead Rede...
